Quilting JetGirl Joins In

Yvonne Fuchs’ contribution to a community-driven quilting journey supporting the Social Justice Sewing Academy.

If you've been part of the Cotton Cuts community for a while, chances are you've already crossed paths with Yvonne Fuchs, better known as Quilting Jetgirl. Yvonne is a respected quilt designer, educator, writer, and community leader whose modern quilting style combines creativity, precision, and a passion for helping others grow their skills. Through her patterns, tutorials, and educational content, she has inspired countless quilters around the world.

Yvonne is perhaps best known for her modern quilt designs that feature bold geometry, clean lines, and thoughtful construction techniques. Her work includes popular patterns such as Nexus, along with many other modern designs that highlight her signature approach to structure, movement, and color. In addition to pattern design, Yvonne shares extensive quilting education through her Quilting Jetgirl platform, offering tutorials, quilting insights, and technical guidance that help quilters build confidence and deepen their skills. Her ability to blend artistry with precision has made her a trusted and respected voice in the modern quilting community.

We're thrilled to once again partner with Yvonne as part of our Mystery with a Mission project benefiting the Social Justice Sewing Academy (SJSA). This special collaborative quilt brings together members of the quilting community, with each participant sewing a portion of the mystery quilt before passing it along to the next contributor.

For Clue 5, Yvonne takes her turn at the sewing machine, contributing her craftsmanship and care as she assembles her section of the quilt. Rather than designing the clue, her role is part of a larger collaborative effort—bringing together the work of multiple quilters to create a unified, one-of-a-kind finished piece. Each contributor adds their own touch, and Yvonne’s expertise helps ensure the quilt continues to come together beautifully as it moves through the hands of the quilting community.
