Fabric Enthusiast (Full and Part Time, In Person)
This position is the backbone of Cotton Cuts. We are seeking full time help for our global company to help with our weekly shipments. Our workforce is diverse and has a home for everyone. We are based out of the Chesterfield Mall and look forward to talking with you.
The Fabric Enthusiast will be asked to efficiently and independently perform the duties and responsibilities for this role as outlined below:
- Work with the team to cut, package and ship 5,000+ shipments a month, consisting of fabric, notions, instructions and other miscellaneous items. This will include use of a rotary cutter, die cutters, rulers, and assembly stations. All training will be provided.
- Creatively solve problems as they arise and brainstorm with the team to continue to improve our service and delivery.
- Other jobs as they pop up and fit with candidate’s skills. We are rapidly growing and so are our needs!
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the growth of a woman owned e-commerce business.
- High attention to detail and care in delivering a branded customer experience.
- Proven time management skills and ability to be flexible to take on new initiatives and improvement efforts.
- Ability to sustain high levels of performance in a constantly changing environment.
- You must comfortable lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for an extended duration.

This position will be located onsite at our Chesterfield Headquarters.
Purchasing Specialist (Part Time, 10-15 hours / week)
Have a passion for planning, forecasting, and keeping everything tracked and on time? Then this position is for you. We are looking for the glue on our team to track and manage where all of our supplies and goods are at any point in time.
The Planning and Supply Chain Specialist will be asked to efficiently and independently perform the duties and responsibilities for this role as outlined below:
- Track and manage all of orders of incoming materials, from our lovely fabrics to threads to all supplies that make our engine run.
- Manage relationships with all of our suppliers. We pride ourselves on strong relationships that are aptly named partnerships.
- Update all production planning documents and systems so that the production team is well prepared. Success for this role is everyone is in the right place at the right time with exactly what they need.
- Creatively solve problems as they arise and brainstorm with the team to continue to improve our service and delivery.

Event Planner (Part time, 10-15 hours / week)
Are you a friendly, persuasive person? Do you love to move fast and juggle several projects? Are you known for producing excellent, polished work? Do you enjoy ensuring that every client has a completely positive experience? Once you’ve been trained, do you prefer to work independently and get things done? Then this position is for you. We are looking for a new member on our team to execute seamlessly our in person events (retreats, seminars, classes, etc), including coordination of activities of staff and attendees.
The Event Planner will be asked to efficiently and independently perform the duties and responsibilities for this role as outlined below:
- Plan and develop programs, agendas, budgets, and services according to event requirements.
- Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security.
- Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event needs.
- Confer with staff at a chosen event site to coordinate details.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved.
- Negotiate contracts with such service providers and suppliers as hotels, convention centers, and speakers.
- Direct administrative details, such as financial operations, dissemination of promotional materials, and responses to inquiries.
- Evaluate and select providers of services according to customer requirements.
- Read trade publications, attend seminars, and consult with other meeting professionals to keep abreast of meeting management standards and trends.
- Hire, train, and supervise volunteers and support staff required for events.
