We also love seeing the ways in which our detectives are able to customize them to make them their own creations. Every detective that signs up for the new Tree of Life mystery will receive a square piece of fabric in the mail. Simply cut it into a favorite leaf shape (teardrop, maple, oak or whatever strikes your fancy), sign your name and location, return it to Cotton Cuts HQ and we will add it to our Cotton Cuts Community Tree. Every week on the Cotton Cuts Live, we will draw one of the leaves received that week to receive a prize.

Digital Colorway Swatch Card
When detectives purchase their PMQ, we will automatically attach the digital color swatch booklet to the purchase. This will keep the swatch card permanently in your account, for ease of reference in case it is lost over time. Never fail - we will still print a color version and include it with Clue 1, but wanted a way to keep everyone sewing in case things develop legs and walk away through the project.
To access the swatch card file, simply download it from the order email or login into your account, locate the PMQ order email and download it from the order confirmation. Easy as that!
Group Purchasing Program
We love our group purchasing program and are excited to announce a new iteration of the program for 2024. Sewing with a group? Then designate a "Team Captain" to receive all of your groups clues each month. We will mail the entire group's clues to the Captain and then you can gather / sew on your schedule!
If you gather 5 or more detectives, each person will receive 5% off their PMQ.
If you gather 10 or more detectives, each person will receive 10% off their PMQ.

"I'm In" Badge
When detectives purchase their Tree of Life mystery, we will be including a social media "I'm In" badge as a digital download to their order. This has been one of the most requested items from our detectives that want to share their love of the mystery on social media. There are no rules about how to use this icon - it is yours to use as you wish, wherever you would like to use it. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok...it all works!
Please note - the same rules apply as with previous mysteries. For every detective that signs up and puts your name in the referred by line, you'll receive a fat quarter of fabric from your colorway. Feel free to use the badge to earn free fabric!

Prepay for your Mystery and receive ALL of your precut fabric at one time, in one shipment
All detectives that prepay for their mysteries at time of signups will receive all of their fabric in one delivery, all at one time, without waiting for the mail each month. We will then email these detectives directions each month for assembly of their quilt top so that they may participate real time, with all the detectives around the world.
Please note - in order to ensure delivery before Clue 1 drops, please signup before January 1st. After January 1st, mysteries will be batched weekly and mailed. You might be slightly delayed in starting, but will actually be ahead for all future months, as you have all of your fabric when you receive the instructions.
Select a quilt backing for your finished quilt at time of signups!
At time of signups, detectives will have the option to purchase backing for their quilts. They will have their choice of 2-3 color options. Sometimes they will be from their designer fabrics on their quilt, sometimes they will be coordinating basics from the same manufacturer. But all will look lovely on the back of their finished quilts.
As always, we will offer backing with extra fabrics that remain at the end of the program, usually about Month 7-8. To signup to be the first notified of those lovely fabrics, please head to the waitlist sheet here.
All backing will ship with Clue #10 at the end of the mystery program and all backing will be 42-44" standard width of fabric.
FREE Shipping for global detectives (Prepay only)
How can that possibly work?
Here's how - all you need to do is prepay for the colorway of your choice. We will then package and send all 10 months of fabric to you at once, and send you the monthly assembly patterns via e-mail each month. You get all of your fabric at the beginning and can participate along with all of the other global detectives.
We also offer monthly shipping of clues for the mystery internationally! We've been able to negotiate a monthly rate of $7.95 per month for our Canadian members and $9.95 per month for everyone else. If prepaying is not for you, then no problem - we can help with that!!

Border Kits to expand your PMQ
We love border kits! Convert your quilt tops into larger quilts made for bigger, comfier beds! Simply add a few borders to make that quilt a Queen or Full sized quilt.
These border kits will expand your large quilt top from 72" x 72" to 88" x 88" or your small quilt top from 48" x 60" to 58" x 70" in coordinating fabrics from your kits.
These lovely kits will ship with your Clue #10.
Coordinating Thread Kits to enhance elements of your PMQ
These kits include a collection of coordinated Aurifil Threads to match your quilting colorway. One larger spool (1300M) of a basic color for piecing and 3 smaller spools (200M) for adding personalized elements to your finished quilt. These spools are all 50wt Aurifil and they will ship with Clue #1.
"Oops Kits"
These kits include a fat eighth (approximately 18" x 10") of each main fabric in your chosen colorway (6 prints). Use these guys for those quick fixes if accidents happen. And if you have them at the end of the mystery, feel free to use them for the back or into an extra border. No fabric left behind :) These kits will ship with Clue #1.
Try Before You Buy
Are you interested in the participating in the mystery, but not sure how it works? Want to dip you toe in without going all in? For a limited time, we will be offering a "Try Before You Buy" program. Simply fill in the information here and our team will mail a half clue to you, free of charge. You can sew it together, get a feel for the fabrics and how the instructions work. This will be from an older quilt and colorway, but will be a great way to experience the program.
