Ten Quilters: One Mission
Posted by Robyn Thomas on 19th Feb 2026
The Cotton Cuts community comes together—ten quilters, one quilt, and a shared commitment to meaningful change.
At Cotton Cuts, we’ve always believed quilting is more than fabric and thread—it’s story, connection, and community. Today, we’re proud to share that 100% of proceeds from our Mystery Quilt with a Mission project will support the Social Justice Sewing Academy (SJSA), an organization doing transformative work at the intersection of textile art and social change.
This is quilting with purpose. Quilting with heart. Quilting for change.

What Is the Social Justice Sewing Academy?
Founded in 2017, the Social Justice Sewing Academy empowers individuals to harness the power of textile art as a tool for personal transformation, community cohesion, and activism.
SJSA believes creativity and craftsmanship can be catalysts for meaningful social change. Through education, mentorship, and community programming, they equip artists with the skills and confidence to use needle and thread as instruments of expression, healing, and advocacy.
Throughout history, quilters have told stories, preserved memories, and united communities around important causes. SJSA carries that legacy forward—reminding us that every quilt tells a story, and some stories need to be heard.
From stitches to solidarity, their work celebrates diverse voices and builds bridges across communities.
Mystery Quilt with a Mission
Our upcoming Mystery Quilt with a Mission raffle brings together 10 talented quilters, each contributing their creativity to a collaborative mystery quilt that will be raffled off to benefit SJSA.
Here’s our inspiring lineup of collaborators:
- February: Kim Moos (@cotton_cuts)
- March: Ashelyn Down (@urbandwellstudio)
- April: Amanda Anderson (@mandyandydesigns)
- May: Tara Evans (@taraleequiltery)
- June: Yvonne Fuchs (@quiltingjetgirl)
- July: Jenna Hall (@jenna_hall) — our longarmer and the creative behind Clue 6
- August: Kristy Lea (@quietplay)
- September: Vickeidy Plybon (@sewspicious)
- October: Rebecca Bryan (@bryanhousequilts)
Each month builds on the mystery, culminating in a quilt that represents not just artistry—but solidarity.
And we’re especially excited that our longarmer, Jenna Hall, will be bringing the finishing magic to the quilt while also completing Clue 6 in July. Her work will help tie every stitch of this collaboration together beautifully.

Through this Mystery Quilt with a Mission, we have the opportunity to turn our creativity into meaningful support for the Social Justice Sewing Academy and the voices they uplift. Whether you purchase a raffle ticket, sew along with us, or simply help spread the word, you are part of something bigger. Let’s continue to prove that when quilters come together, our impact reaches far beyond the stitches.
