PMQ Add-Ons: A Guide

You've taken the plunge and decided to order the next Cotton Cuts Puzzle Mystery Quilt! Hooray! You are on your way to ten months of sewing fun and mystery. But what else do you need to complete the perfect quilt? Here is a guide to let you know about all of our PMQ add-on options to make your PMQ experience even better.

Prepay for your PMQ and receive all of your clues in one shipment!

Our fabric enthusiasts will be working their fingers to the bone to put together clues one through ten, and ship out all of the fabric pieces at one time. Imagine, not having to wait that extra four to ten days for your next clue to arrive! On shipment day, we will email that clue to you and you are off and sewing, not waiting for the post office. 

But remember, to get this great deal, you do have to pay for all of your clues at once. Select the prepay option when you order. 

(On our website, we have said we guarantee shipment of your complete quilt by our clue one shipment day of July 28th. Don't worry, you can still order your complete quilt, it just may arrive some time in August. Our talented fabric enthusiasts will do their best. You may be delayed in starting, but for the rest of your clues, you will already have them in hand. That is worth the wait!)

Quilt Backing is Available NOW for Carnival

We are so excited about this new option. You can go ahead NOW and order your backing for your Carnival quilt. We have selected three coordinating fabrics for you to choose from. You will find this option in our Fabric Shop under the heading PMQ Fabrics. No, we are not selling them to you as an Add-On when you order your PMQ. For inventory purposes, it will be a separate order. 

As we have done in the past, you will have the option to order your backing during month seven and/or eight as we move along in the mystery. And, there will be options at the end of the mystery. 

But if you know what you want now, why would you wait? 

Backing will ship with Clue 10. 

Global Detectives receive free shipping when they pre-pay!

No need to be discouraged if you do not live in the USA when it comes to those crazy shipping costs. We will send your complete PMQ quilt to you in one easy shipment, containing clues 1-10. And will email those clues to you on the coordinating Friday ship date. 

This is a perk we have offered to our global detectives for previous mysteries, and now we can offer this exciting idea of all detectives who pre-pay. 

Border Kits

Convert your quilt tops into larger quilts made for bigger, comfier beds! Simply add a few borders to make that quilt a Queen or Full sized quilt.

These border kits will expand your large quilt top from 72" x 72" to 88" x 88" or your small quilt top from 48" x 60" to 58" x 70" in coordinating fabrics from your kits.

These lovely kits will ship with your Clue #10.

Coordinating Thread Kits

Here is yet another way to make your Puzzle Mystery Quilt experience even easier! Why worry about your thread stash? We will send you all you need to get that PMQ finished. Each thread kit comes with one large spool of quality Aurifil thread in a neutral hue to match your colorway for piecing, as well as three smaller colored thread that will match perfectly, for your quilting. These spools with ship with your Clue 1.

Oops Kits

Everyone is entitled to a mistake now and then. But when you error while sewing your PMQ together, you don't even have to worry about it. Just order and Oops Kit for an additional $10 and we will send you out a packet of extra fabric with your Clue 1 package. This includes a fat 8 of each of your colorway fabrics, just in case you need it.

And if you don't need it to correct a mistake, use the extra fabric to make a coordinating pillow for you PMQ. Or create a fun additional quilt square for the back of your quilt. Really, the possibilities are endless. Your extra stash of fabric will not go to waste.

Try Before You Buy

All you have to do is fill out the order form and we will send you a FREE sample of what our PMQ clue looks like, complete with all of the color coordinated fabric needed to put part of a clue together, instructions and fabric key. The fabrics are die cut for a previous mystery quilt, and the sample is not an entire clue, but just one section. It is enough to give you a perfect overview of how our complete PMQ will work.
