A Look Back at our Puzzle Mystery Quilts

Posted by Robyn Thomas on 21st Jul 2023

Did you know that Cotton Cuts is starting its 14th Puzzle Mystery Quilt? Isn’t that crazy?

Our first PMQ with designer Sheila Christiansen was called “All A Glow” and had ten colorways to choose from. This was our spring PMQ in 2017.

As with so many things, our puzzle mystery quilts just get better and better as we add more colorways, optional borders and additional add-ons, making them even more irresistible.

2017: All-A-Glow and Through the Garden Gate

2022: Sew Sweet and Piazza

A fun PMQ with a doughnut theme. In these ten months Our Fall PMQ of 2022 was Piazza, which took us on a tour of some of Italy's beautiful landmarks.

2023: Village Green and Carnival

Village Green is currently in progress. Sorry, no hints as to how it is going to layout. But take a look at these beautiful clues that have been sewn together so far.

We've expanded this time to an amazing 16 colorway choices. Purchasing an Oops Kit will help you breathe just a bit easier as you are sewing, know that you have just enough back-up fabric in case of an oops. And who wouldn't want coordinating thread delivered right to their door, along with their clues? No need to agonize over which colors to choose. As usual, we've done all the hard work for you.

  • A Facebook LIVE Big Reveal is shown on the same day that Clue 10 is released. We will show you what your finished quilt will look like as your final instructions are sent.
  • Love the quilt and ready for another? Early sign-up for the next one is all for you. Sign-up a day early to ensure that you are able to purchase your favorite colorway for the next mystery.
