A Nebraska native, Ms. Drummond’s country upbringing was surrounded by art,
woodworking, and sewing. Crystal spent hours watching her Great-Grandma Grace
create quilting masterpieces by hand. She treasured the designs and the love Grace
put into each quilt knowing it would be gifted to a special family member or friend.
Grace’s endearing love for others showed thru her dedication with every stitch.
Ms. Drummond brings her passions – teaching, sewing, and family traditions - as the
foundation of DayBrook Designs. Inspired by the past, Crystal celebrates the art of
quilting with her daughters, Brooklynn and Daytonna. Inspiring one another to
confidently pursue goals, they seek to share their love of quilting not as a pastime but
rather a time-honored tradition.
Life's journey has taken the Nebraska family to Florida, and finally to settle in beautiful
South Carolina. Currently, they are constructing a countryside quilting studio and
classroom to be opened Fall 2024. Future plans include a quilting retreat and event
center. There's not time like the present to make dreams come true.
